Do you manufacture assembly components from different polymers, but want the overall component to have a uniform colour? This can be achieved with homogeneously coloured thermoplastic compounds in the customer‘s desired colour.

Assembly components made of different polymers, whose inherent colours differ significantly from one another, can be produced in a uniform colour by using solid-coloured plastic compounds. In contrast to self-colouring by using masterbatches in the injection moulding machine, even the smallest colour differences can be reliably compensated for when compounding is done with powdered colourants. As a result, the entire component has a uniform colour appearance.

OUR COMPOUNDS AND RecyclingCompounds ARE utilised IN a variety of end-use products, including:

How sustainable custom Sattler RecyclingCompounds are is now clearly documented in black and white in the product-specific CO₂ footprint certified by the Kunststoff-Institut Lüdenscheid — expressed in kilograms of CO₂ equivalents per kilogram of produced and packaged plastic granulate. The assessment follows the “cradle to gate” approach — covering the product’s journey from its origin to the point it leaves the factory gate. The team at the Sattler KunststoffWerk provided the Kunststoff-Institut Lüdenscheid and Carbon Minds with all relevant data.

A TÜV-tested method was used to calculate the Product Carbon Footprint of the entire compound portfolio for each individual product and to document it in accordance with ISO 14067. As the direct contact for data collection and consolidation, the Kunststoff-Institut combined its technical expertise in plastics processing with its background knowledge of standard-compliant CO₂ accounting. Using exports from the in-house ERP system of Sattler KunststoffWerk, the life cycle inventory for each compound was created based on its individual formulation. Modern data processing and the excellent expertise of the data engineers at Carbon Minds then enabled an automated assessment of environmental impacts according to the “Global Warming Potential” over 100 years (GWP 100a), as well as the documentation of the results in the form of product-specific certificates.
